Transform Your Home into a Summer Oasis: Easy Decorating Tip

Hey loves! My less favorite season is almost here: summer, hehe! Only because, growing up in Texas, the heat was unbearable. Luckily with Colorado, the summers are a tad better! But how do I get excited for a season that brings extremely hot days? DECORATING!

I am using summer as an excuse to decorate the apartment by adding some life and vibrance to our space. Mix and match patterns, play with colors, and bring in some natural elements like plants to make it feel like the perfect summer paradise! If you work from home like me, this gives it the perfect scenery change.

Summer

Here are some easy tips to get your home summer-ready:

Tip 1: Let Natural Light In

Maximizing natural light is an easy way to make your home feel brighter and happier. Open up those windows and let the sunshine in! Easiest tip ever, right?!

Tip 2: Lighten Up Your Soft Furnishings

Think light and breezy when it comes to soft furnishings. Fluffy rugs and pastel throws can really set the summer vibe in your living areas. Incorporating Earth-tones, wood finishings, and plants can also give your space that perfect summer paradise feel! I added some of my favorite Amazon home decor to refresh your space here.

And if you need to do a little home renovation before the season arrives, don't be afraid to reach out to a residential plumber or contractor to help you get everything summer-ready.

Tip 3: Freshen Up Your Linens

Switching to lightweight duvets or quilts can be a game-changer on those summer nights. Adding artwork that captures sunny vibes can also add some visual interest to your decor. Don't be afraid to go for vibrant colors that reflect sunlight and mix and match different textures and patterns.

Anthropologie is my go-to retailer for all my bedding needs! From chic to vibrant, Anthropologie got it all! 🙌🏻 For my coastal babes, don't forget to add some beach charm like this cute coastal bedding!

Tip 4: Add Plants and Flowers to the Home

Finally, add some life to your decor by adding plants and flowers. They'll make your home feel fresh, vibrant, and inviting. And don't be afraid to experiment with different colors and patterns until you find something you really love! I tend to stick with succulents because they are hard to kill, haha, but I do love the occasional fresh flowers I get from the market!

So what do you think? Easy, right?! There are so many budget-friendly ways to make your home feel like the perfect summer paradise. So why wait? Let's start decorating and bring on the sunshine!
