Kingdom Duet

After finishing the Royal Elite series, my curiosity led me to delve deeper into the enigmatic Jonathan King in the Kingdom Duet. As dark and twisted as his son Aiden is, Jonathan is on a whole new level.

Reign of a King

★★★★

Dive deep into the psyche of the formidable King himself, Jonathan King – a man synonymous with power, dominance, and ruthlessness, striking fear into the hearts of all who hear his name.

Within the pages of the Royal Elite series, we discover Jonathan as Levi's uncle, Aiden's father, and, most significantly, the late Alicia's husband. His narrative, until now, had been confined to the tragedy of losing Alicia, who battled her own mental demons, and the ongoing rivalry with Ethan Steele.

Enter Aurora – a woman unafraid to stand her ground and vocalize her thoughts. She was there on the day of Jonathan and Alicia’s wedding, referring to Alicia as her sister, albeit half-sister. Despite the physical resemblance to Alicia, Aurora is her own person, displaying a demeanor entirely distinct from her late sister.

After years of evading her past, Aurora reemerges into the spotlight driven by her commitment to her company. Her attempt to remain inconspicuous in Jonathan's world fails spectacularly, drawing her irreversibly into his intricate web – a realm devoid of escape.

In an unexpected twist, Aurora finds herself inexplicably drawn to Jonathan’s darkness. Jonathan thrives on control and despises repetition, while Aurora deliberately challenges him, inviting punishment. She unsettles him, yet he craves all that she embodies. Their dynamic is as magnetic as it is turbulent.

“Aurora Harper sold her soul to the devil. It goes without saying that she’ll never be able to escape me.”

Jonathan's words echoed in my mind as I delved into the sequel after that intense cliffhanger in “Reign Of A King.” I simply couldn't put the book down; I needed to unravel the unfolding story.

With each page, Aurora's past unfolded, and I found myself perched on the edge of my seat, gripped by the mysterious packages containing her deceased sister’s voice and the shocking revelation about her father being a serial killer. Amidst all the chaos, the commanding presence of Jonathan King made Aurora question her own sanity.

No matter how dire the situations Aurora found herself in, Jonathan was always there to protect her, his words ringing in my ears: “I’m not protecting you because you’re a woman. I’m protecting you because you’re my woman.”

As the initial six-month agreement drew to a close, the romance between them deepened, reaching new levels of intimacy. The story continues to unfold, leaving readers like me eagerly anticipating what comes next.

“He was a beautiful disaster waiting to happen, and I just fell into it"
