Hideaway (Devil's Night Series)

We are back with another part two of the Devil's Night series. I usually would combine series and make one big post, but as Penelope Douglas herself mentions, these books are standalone, meaning that you do not need to read the other books to read Hideaway. Therefore, I believe these books deserve their own post. ;)

In case you want to read the others, I have my book talk posts down below for you to check out!

"We're only ever good, because there are consequences," I told her. "Take those away, and everyone shows their true self. Kind of like taking off a mask."

The calm and mysterious Kai Mori lets us into his dark and twisted mind. Hideaway is a standalone, but the story begins in Corrupt of the infamous night: Devil's Night.

Kai Mori was never the same after prison. As he finds his place again, he runs into a blast from the past. But this time, she isn't a little scared kid. She has grown up to defend herself and show the world she isn't a little girl. Banks does everything possible not to resemble a girl's looks, covering her body with baggy men's clothing.

In search of Damon, Kai decided that Banks might hold all the answers to his problem. In striking up a deal, Banks is forced to spend time with Kai, which leads to them picking up the romance they left off six years ago.

Kai knows how important Banks is to Damon, but he doesn't know the actual connection. A connection both Banks and Damon hid from the world.

After a year of a suspenseful, dark, violent chase to finding Damon and the truth, the gang finally meets again on Devil's Night, which ends in a shocker!
