bane

Bane can be read as a standalone but it is part of the Sinners of Saint series. In case you want to read the others, I have my book talk posts down below for you to check out!

I highly recommend reading Scandalous so that you capture snippets of Bane.

For all my Kindle readers, Sinners of Saint series is on Kindle Unlimited for free to read!

From the previous books in this series, the story has always revolved around the Four Hotholes. We catch a glimpse of Bane in the story of Edie and Trent in Scandalous. To say I love the Four Hotholes is an understatement, so when I saw that Bane was not a part of the group, I was hesitant to finish off the series. But I am glad I did read this story.

This is a story where the princess saves herself!

Roman “Bane” Protsenko is the definition of a bad boy. He is handsome, complicated, powerful, raw, whereas Jessie Carter is beautiful but broken. Instead of sending in the hero to save the damsel in distress. We see the growth between the two as their relationship progress with time.

“Maybe love wasn’t about feeling happy and whole. Maybe love was about breaking so the person you cared for would feel a little more whole.”

To see someone shattered and crumbled at the feet of the world just to rise from hell and blossom into the beautiful, invincible creature was phenomenal and emotional.

“No, she wasn’t a snowflake. She was a snowstorm.”
