How To Pack A Suitcase For Any trip

Whenever you go on vacation, do you always feel like you’ve forgotten to pack something? Or that maybe you’ve put some of the wrong things in your bag? It's a common issue, and even though you can buy things once you’ve touched down on the other side, it’s best to have everything you need with you already for peace of mind.

From tech to toiletries, you’ll need the same staples with you no matter where you’re headed. As such, here’s a little list of what to pack, no matter the destination or how long you’ll be there for.

Spare Charger

You might forget and/or lose the other one, so make sure you’ve got a spare somewhere in your case as well. If you can, try to make it one of those universal types where the jack can be swapped in and out for what you need to charge at that point in time. This way your phone, tablet, portable games console, and portable battery can be charged whenever you’re somewhere with a socket.

And if you’re going abroad to a country with a different socket type to yours, make sure there’s a spare adapter in there as well. Plugs of different sizes are the best choice.

Suncream

The sun is always there, even when you can’t see it. Always make sure there’s a bottle of sunscreen in your case. Even if you need to pick up a travel sized bottle from the airport, make sure you buy it before you get on the plane.

You can never be sure you won’t burn, even when the clouds are covering the sky, and protecting your skin from UV damage should be one of your life missions. Don’t risk it - have some suncream ready to go at all times.

Pair of Gloves

Gloves are a great, versatile accessory. No matter the weather, a pair of gloves suitable to the climate is not only a good way to stay temperate, but they’ll help you to stay hygienic as well.

So, if you’re off somewhere a bit chilly, pack a pair of womens gloves from HeatHolders. If you’re going somewhere that is mostly mild but can go either way, a standard pair of leather gloves will be fine. And if it’s hot, a sheer pair of cotton gloves is good for the days you’ll be driving or in a sandy area.

Nail Clippers

They should make up part of your usual bathroom kit, but a lot of people can forget them. Don’t be one of those people! Having a hang nail pop out when you’re on vacation is the worst. It’s super uncomfortable, you won’t be able to stop noticing it, and you could even catch it on your clothes - that could turn into a disaster!

Make sure you’ve always got nail clippers in your case. You can take them out whenever you need to and you won’t be liable for a nail problem while you’re away. It’s a little item, but it’s a super useful one.

Antibac Spray or Gel

You need to keep your hands clean at all times, especially in a world that’s just gotten through a pandemic. As such, always have a little bottle of antibacterial spray or gel in your bag. You can use this whenever you need to and you won’t need to stop, find a bathroom, and then wash your hands. This makes traveling safely a lot easier!

Copies of All Documents

All documents you need to take with you - every single one - need a copy somewhere in your suitcase. This way, if your phone holding the tickets gets misplaced and/or stolen, you still have your necessary travel permits with you.

You won’t be blocked at the border, you’ll still be able to get on the plane, and you’ll make your way home with little to no hassle. Have a copy and be much safer.

If you can, make sure everyone in your group has a copy too, so no one has to rely on someone else if something bad happens.

Refillable Bottle

A refillable water bottle helps you to stay healthy and hydrated when you’re in another country. You won’t need to spend twice the amount of a bottle you need to throw away, and if the country has safe drinking water that comes out of the taps, just use the hotel sink to refill before you head out for the day. Easy!
