To All The Boys I've Loved Before

Rating: 5/5 stars

With book one: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, I read that in like a day. The book was an easy read (it is for 12 and up… so yeah… haha). It starts with love letters being sent out to five boys… but not by Lara Jean herself! The boy that confronts her first, Lara Jean uses to save face from the boy she thought she actually loved. It’s a love triangle with an easy but surprising guess that Lara Jean will fall for Peter instead of who she really thought: Josh, who is her sister’s boyfriend now ex. And of course, Josh realizes he likes Lara Jean but it’s too late because Lara Jean and Peter get together (pretend at first).

Besides the love triangle, the book shares the relationship between three sisters. Margot, being the oldest, portrays more of a mother-like figure; and to be honest, I am not a big fan. Kitty, on the other hand, is adorable and funny! She has sass to her that you just love. Come to find out, Kitty was the one that sent out those love letters so she’s a sneaky one. Both boys, Josh and Peter, have this amazing relationship with Kitty that just warms your heart!

This book has so many levels to it focusing on a love story, friendships, family relationships, and sister bonds. This book would probably be the one I choose to read over and over again!!

P.S I Still love you

Rating: 5/5 stars

As the series continues, Lara jean realizes that she is falling for Peter only to receive a handwritten letter from the boy she never gotten her love letter returned. This boy, John Ambrose Mclaren, had Lara jean confused about her emotions. Even though she was dating Peter and was fully committed to him, she couldn't help but think about the what if's of John Ambrose.

With the sandal from book one continuing, Lara Jean knew in her guts that Genevieve was the one that film and shared the hot tub video. Leaving her to doubt her relationship with Peter because she felt like she was always second to Gen. Heck, I would feel the same way too. However, there are always two sides to a story. Yes, Peter could've handled it better but he was being a good friend and helping Gen through a hard time. With this doubt, it became easier for Lara Jean to be around John Ambrose. John Ambrose already liking Lara Jean, helps her out with winning the game Assassins which causes Peter to be jealous. Toward the end, both Lara Jean and Peter realized that they want each and be fully in.

Another love triangle of course, but I like how real and relatable book two is! As a teenager, your emotions are everywhere and you don't know what you want until you pretty much lose it! Jenny Han did a good job of showing that through the perspective of Lara Jean!

Always and Forever, Lara Jean

Rating: 4/5 stars

What a great ending to the series!! It took me longer to finish the book than the other two -- to be honest, I was postponing the end of this series. I loved it since the first time I watched the first movie and read the first book! Lara Jean is one special girl! I loved watching her grow through the series and embracing herself. This was pretty much for high school went. We fall in love, laughed, have fun, enjoyed being young -- then it was time for all of us to go our separate ways. I love how despite Peter's mom, they still manage to try to work things out and to see Peter's note in the yearbook! If there was another book about them in college, I know for a fact that Peter and Lara Jean will remain together no matter what.

I highly recommend reading this whole series! You learn so much through Lara Jean's journey (even when you're out of high school like me -- heck I'm out of college too haha).
